Esta mañana he ido a la Oficina Municipal de Impuestos situada en la Torre Mapfre de Barcelona y, por primera vez en muchos años, he paseado por el Port Olímpic. Lamentablemente, ésta es una zona de la ciudad que los locales hemos abandonado, cediendo el paso a los turistas que invaden sus locales todo el año. Triste, porque lo he encontrado precioso (y el día primaveral acompañaba)
This morning I had to go to the Tax Office in Barcelona, and for the first time in ages, I’ve walked by the Port Olympic, as the office is right there. Sadly, the big amount of tourists have made this part of the city an unconfortable place for us, locals. Sadly, because I’ve really liked it.
Estoy molida, no siento los brazos… Ayer por la tarde empecé a empaquetar algunas cosas, preparando la mudanza a mi nueva casa en unas semanas (cruzad los dedos para que las obras acaben DE VERDAD en dos semanas!). Lo peor es que todas estas cajas contienen solamente una cuarta parte del armario del comedor!
Necesito un masajista…
I’m dead tired, I don’t feel my arms. Yesterday afternoon I started to pack some things to prepare the move to my new house in some weeks (cross your fingers so the works really end in two weeks!). The problem is that all these boxes are only for a quarter of the content of my dinning room!

Hoy he ido a ver el Belén de la Plaça Sant Jaume de Barcelona, y como no puede faltar en ningún nacimiento catalán, allí estaba el mítico caganer
I’ve gone to see the Nativity that every year, the City Hall sets up at Plaça Sant Jaume in Barcelona, and of course, the famous ‘caganer’ (don’t know the word in English, but you can see what he’s doing) was there as well.

Bueno… Finalmente el maldito 2011 se ha acabado. Un año para olvidar en muchos sentidos, tanto en el personal como en el social y general. Tras este desastre, sólo cabe esperar que el 2012 será mejor!
¿Resoluciones para el nuevo año? Muchas. Muchísimas. Una de ellas -fácil, fácil – es salir a la calle, tomar y postear una foto al día. Pero no, hoy no salgo de casa. Es día de pijama, valses de Viena y sofá… de modo que ahi va una foto de la original Ponsetia que decora mi casa estas fiestas. Así no me siento tan culpable…
Well finally, damn 2011 is over. A year to forget in all senses. After this disaster, we can only hope that 2012 will be much better!
Resolutions for the new year? Many. One of them – easy – is to go out, take a picture and post it here daily. But today I’m not leaving the house. It’s a day of pjs, Vienna concert on TV and sofa… As I don’t want to feel guilty and break the easy aim for this year 12 hours in, here it goes a picture of the Ponsetia we have at home this Christmas season.
